Job chaining

From Aeronautica Official Wiki
(Redirected from Chaining)

Job chaining is a method to earn more from transport-related jobs by doing multiple jobs without ending flight. Each job done increases the job chain multiplier by 0.1; the multiplier starts at 1.2 after the first job. The chain breaks if going to one of the previous 20 destinations, leaving the game without an active job saved, or ending flight in any way. Boats cannot be chained.

Strategy edit

Best aircraft edit

Supersonic transports are very useful for job chaining due to their speed, allowing more jobs to be done and the chain multiplier to be built up faster. Some SSTs, such as the Lockheed L-2000, have great capacity causing high rates of earnings. However, their high stall speed limits the airports SSTs can take jobs to, making the chain loop less efficient. The Boom Overture (2022) is one of the best aircraft for chaining, even outperforming the HyperMach SonicStar due to its capacity. The Tupolev Tu-144S is a cheaper option that still makes decent WP.

The Hawker Siddeley HS.141's high base earnings (due to its good capacity, speed, and boost for being a VTOL) make it one of the best aircraft for chaining. However, its specific inability to take jobs to oil rigs makes its chain loop less efficient.

Route edit

An efficient route is important because of engine failure from low maintenance, which happens in around 5 hours of flight time for most airplanes. Aircraft cannot be repaired while in flight.

Buildup stage edit

The job chain multiplier is built up in this stage. The aircraft is flown in a circular loop of 22 airports to avoid chain cancellation, so it can be repeated multiple times

Long haul stage edit

After the multiplier is high enough (around 7x for meta aircraft), long well-paying jobs are taken to earn the WP and money from the chain. Job events (airport modifiers) multiply earnings on top of the chain multiplier, creating jobs that can give over 100000 WP for certain aircraft. This happens until all engines fail, ending the chain.
