Tutorial

From Aeronautica Official Wiki

This page is about the in-game tutorial.

The tutorial is an optional training that appears at the start of the game.

The player spawns at Hampden in a Spectrum Beaver SS and takes off. The player then flies through arrows, and each arrow displays a message explaining a game mechanic. The player finally lands at Oconee and parks.

If the tutorial is completed, the player starts with 1200 WP. If the tutorial is skipped, only 850 WP is given. An ultralight must be purchased before playing the game.

Press E to start your engine, W and S to speed up or down and use left click to steer your aircraft. Taxi to the runway by setting your throttle to 15%!

Set your throttle to 100% and takeoff from the airstrip safely. Be careful not to climb too steep or you will stall and lose altitude. If you do end up in a stall, push your nose DOWN until you gain enough speed to recover

You can toggle between two different control modes. The '1' Key is your normal set of controls and the '3' key is the mouse aim control mode. Give it a try

Remember you can consult the control button on the left side of your screen for additional controls.

In this game, there are two kinds of currency. Money, which is used for refueling, repainting and for basic repairs, and WP, which is used for purchasing new aircraft, overhauling aircraft and for getting licenses.

You can earn those currencies by completing jobs. Different kinds of aircraft may have different kinds of jobs.

If you crash your plane at anytime, you will lose a bunch of money to get it replaced. This includes ending flight withing [sic] having landed first.

Once you land at Oconee, you can buy your first ultralight to begin your journey as a pilot. Complete jobs or just fly around until you have enough flight time to begin training for your single engine license. REMEMBER to land at an airport for your flight time to be logged.[1]

The more licenses you earn, the more aircraft you can see in the dealerships and fly.

When landing, throttle down your aircraft until you are just above stall speed, which is indicated by the color changing to light yellow, then to orange. Land safely on the runway. Once on the ground, hold B for brakes to slow down faster.

Taxi to the blue box and STOP to complete your untralight training.

You have earned your Ultralight License. Click the end flight button twice at the bottom to complete this tutorial

  1. Note: You do not need to land at an airport, you only need to fully stop at any location, including water
